This is a ten-year-old single malt bottled by WhiskyPeter at full cask strength, 59.5%, in a 70cl bottle. Glenshiel is a trade name for whisky from the Loch Lomond distillery, used because the distillery name may not appear on the label. It is unpeated. The whisky spent all ten years in a first-fill bourbon barrel, which brought freshness and a rounded sweetness. It is described with creamy vanilla, sweet honey and fresh citrus. The nose balances fruity notes with mild oak, the palate builds in sweet layers, and the finish is fresh.
