This is a 14 year old Speyside single malt from Glentauchers, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Distillery Labels range. The range is made up of whiskies matured in the company's own casks, intended to show the house style of each distillery.
The nose is of fresh orchard fruit and gentle vanilla, with steamed apple, pear compote and crystallised orange peel. On the palate it is soft but lively, with bright pear, white pepper, aniseed and demerara sugar. The finish is medium, with lingering spice, dried fruit and a hint of walnut.
