An 11 year old Knockdhu single malt, distilled in 1974 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range at 40% ABV. It comes in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is full of sweet grain, with pear schnapps, silver polish, mint, pine wood, paraffin, almonds and a musty warehouse character. The palate starts sweet and soft, a little spirity and bitterish, with grapefruit, lemon zest, wax, diesel, pepper and a vague barley sweetness.
The finish is not too long, peppery and slightly grassy.
