A 15-year-old Speyside single malt from Mortlach, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. Mortlach distils in six pot stills through a partial triple process described as 2.81 times distillation, and uses worm tub condensers. This bottling carries sherry cask influence from its fifteen years of maturation.
Fresh malt leads the nose, with orchard fruit, toffee, liquorice, orange marmalade and a delicate sherry note. The palate is malty and gently sweet, with Black Forest cake, blackcurrant, cocoa, honey and fresh orange. The finish is medium-long, with new leather, orange peel, gentle spice and toffee.
