An overproof dark rum from Goslings in Bermuda, part of a legacy dating back to 1806.
It is a molasses-based rum, a blend of pot still and continuous still rums, aged up to about 3 years in charred American oak barrels. Bottled at 75.5% ABV, it is designed for cocktails, tiki builds and culinary use, where high proof amplifies aroma and flavour.
The nose is powerful and aromatic with molasses, caramel, vanilla, dried fruit and spice, backed by pronounced alcohol intensity. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated with dark chocolate, caramelised sugar, coffee and baking spice over a deep molasses core. The finish is long, hot and lingering with oak, spice, burnt sugar and smoky sweetness.
