Grangestone Rum Cask Finish (70cl)

Grangestone Rum Cask Finish is a single malt Scotch whisky matured first in American oak, then finished in casks that held rum, in a 70cl bottle. The rum casks add sweet, spiced influences: tropical fruit, molasses, brown sugar and a little vanilla. Amber in colour, it has a nose of sweet red berries and nuts, with very sweet oranges and vanilla. The palate is slightly peppery, with plenty of honey and touches of caramel. The finish brings cinnamon and apples, the sweetness fading in the aftertaste to leave notes of oak and a slight bitterness.
