A 17 year old Scottish single malt, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2026 at 54.9%. It spent its whole maturation in a first fill Barolo barrique, a cask that previously held Barolo from Piedmont. It is non-chill-filtered, has no added colour and is not smoky.
The nose has ripe red berries and dark dried fruit alongside vanilla and a fine tobacco note. The palate is robust and wine-led, with toffee sweetness and clearly dry tannins. The finish is long, with dark cocoa, toasted oak and dry spice.
