Grappa Invecchiata Gold Edition - Domenis (70cl)

An aged grappa from Domenis that aims for balance and softness. The nose opens with warm, discreet notes of dried fruit, vanilla and light spices, the result of wood ageing that rounds the more assertive traits. The palate is warm and silky, with full but well-controlled body; the strength supports without becoming aggressive, while savouriness and a slight final bitterness balance residual sweetness. The finish is pleasant, with returns of toasted almond and touches of sweet tobacco that make it meditative. Presented in a box, it suits a gift or an after-dinner grappa, served slightly cool in small glasses.
