Grappa Invecchiata Storica Riserva Cognac Cask Domenis (50cl, 50%)

A grappa aged in Cognac casks, with a warm amber colour and an elegant nose of vanilla, acacia honey, dried fruit and a subtle spicy note recalling sweet tobacco and cocoa. The wood lends aroma without overpowering the grappa's clean character. On the palate it is enveloping and round, with contained warmth, a velvety texture and a pleasant persistence. A light tannic structure from ageing gives body without heaviness, and the finish recalls vanilla and toasted notes. Best served as a meditation digestif, at room temperature or slightly chilled in a small glass.
