This is a French lemon-flavoured vodka at 40% ABV, in a 1.75 litre bottle. It is made from Picardie winter wheat and flavoured with an essential oil extract from Menton lemons.
Menton lemons are thick-skinned and low in acidity, with a high essential oil content. The wheat spirit is distilled in five steps and blended with spring water from Gensac-la-Pallue near Cognac.
The nose is ripe lemon zest with a delicate sweetness, citrus blossom and a green freshness. The palate shows fresh lemon, lemon meringue and a faint herbal note, with a slight pith bitterness. The finish is medium, with a hint of orange rind and a crisp, dry close.
