Gun Fighter American Rye Whiskey Double Cask Rum Finish is an American rye bottled at 50%, which is 100 US proof. It is matured in traditional casks and then moved into rum casks for further ageing.
It is made by Golden Moon Distillery, founded in 2008 with the aim of making drinks from the same ingredients that were used in the late 1800s.
Rye and spice lead the palate, with a hint of sweetness from the rum casks and notes of caramel, vanilla and oak. The strength gives a warming feel.
Tasting Notes
Plenty of rye and spice, a hint of sweetness, caramel, vanilla and oak
