This is a 13 year old Jamaican rum from Hampden, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2023 as part of the Magnum Series #2, the Alex Webb Edition. It is bottled at 60% vol.
Made from molasses and dunder, it was distilled in a double retort pot still and aged in fresh bourbon casks in tropical conditions. The ester content is stated as between 200 and 400 g/hlpa. It has no added colouring or sugar and has not been chill-filtered.
On the palate there is liquorice and chocolate, smoky hints of petrol and smoked bacon, and fruity touches of pineapple and banana.
