This is an 11 year old single cask Craigellachie from Hart Brothers, bottled at cask strength in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in August 2008 and bottled in June 2020, after maturing in a former Bourbon cask.
The nose is restrained, with orange fruit, malt, baked bread and sweet spices. On the palate come sweet vanilla icing on sponge cake, Cointreau and orange bitters. With water, more soft orange bitters and yellow fruit gums appear. The finish is warming and long, sweet and spicy, with liquorice bitters and a hint of apple pie at the end.
