This is a 15 year old Japanese small batch malt whisky, the fourth edition in the Hatozaki Omakase Collection. It was made under Kimio Yonezawa, master distiller and blender at Kaikyo Distillery.
The blend is mostly hand-selected malt whisky, aged first in new charred oak barrels and then finished in traditional Mizunara casks in Japan. It is a limited release.
The flavours include sandalwood, vanilla bean, caramelised fruit and spice, with a subtle smokiness. The finish is smooth and long.
