Spring 2026 Hercynian is a single malt from Heartgow, made at the Hammerschmiede in Elsbach, the only whisky distillery in the Harz. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in first-fill PX sherry casks, an Oloroso sherry hogshead and a quarter cask. The distillery's style is generally regarded as mild, with a complex flavour, and because many different casks are used, its bottlings can differ considerably from one another.
