Heartgow Winter 2021 Hercynian is a German single malt bottled at 48%, in a 70cl bottle. It was made at the Hammerschmiede in Elsbach, the only whisky distillery in the Harz.
The whisky was matured in a mix of casks: Malaga, port and a sherry hogshead. Because the distillery uses such a wide range of casks, its bottlings can differ considerably from one another.
The distillery's style is generally regarded as mild, with a complex flavour.
