This is a 2017 single malt from Faro, the whisky distillery started in 2019 by the family behind the Feingeisterei at Gut Basthorst, near Hamburg. It is bottled at 42% ABV in a 50cl bottle. The distillers malt regional barley themselves and dry part of the malt over peat sods from northern Germany. Distilling takes place in a 1000-litre, wood-fired copper still, and the spirit matures in custom-made barrique-sized casks of Schleswig-Holstein oak.
