Heaven's Door Double Barrel Whiskey (70cl, 50%)

Heaven's Door Double Barrel is an American whiskey bottled at 50% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It blends three whiskeys: two from Tennessee made with a traditional bourbon mash bill, and a straight rye. Each whiskey is aged separately for at least six years in new oak and in fresh-dumped bourbon barrels. They are then married and aged for a further year in virgin, heavily charred American oak barrels. Maple charcoal mellowing after distillation, known as the Lincoln County Process, gives a smooth finish. The nose combines maple, milled grain, light nuttiness, dried berries, vanilla custard and toasted oak. The palate runs from toasted caramel and dark cherry to Meyer lemon, coconut, orange oils, cocoa and warm butterscotch.
