Heaven's Door Double Barrel is a 100-proof American whiskey, co-created with Bob Dylan. It brings together two Tennessee bourbons and one straight rye.
Each of the three is aged separately for at least six years, then they are married and finished for a further year in heavily charred, virgin American oak barrels. The whiskey is also filtered through maple charcoal, following the Lincoln County Process.
The nose offers maple, milled grains, dried berries and vanilla custard. The palate is full-bodied, with toasted caramel, dark cherry and butterscotch, and the finish is long, with deep caramel, dry oak and lingering spice.
