Heaven's Door – Rye Single Barrel #2 (70cl, 60.8%)

This is a single barrel straight rye whiskey from Heaven's Door, the American whiskey range developed in collaboration with Bob Dylan. It is bottled at a cask strength of 60.8% abv in a 70cl bottle, from barrel number 31109. The whiskey is six years old and made from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It matured in an American white oak barrel toasted at level 4 in Kentucky. It is non-chill-filtered and free of added colouring. The nose is creamy, with vanilla and dark cherry. Dark fruit, blackberry, black cherry, ginger and herbs lead the palate, along with spicy-sweet notes. The finish is long and velvety.
