Minden Mill – 5 Year Old American Single Malt Whiskey (75cl, 47%)

Minden Mill 5 Year Old is an American single malt made in Minden, Nevada, where the barley is grown, malted, distilled, aged and bottled on a single estate. It is made from 100% estate-grown barley and distilled in two all-copper Forsyth stills. It is aged five years in a climate-controlled rickhouse in the high desert, in Oloroso sherry casks, ex-bourbon barrels and American oak, including re-charred wine and sherry butts. It is bottled non-chill filtered at 47% ABV (94 proof). The nose has fig, caramel, golden raisin, candied plum and honeycomb, with almond and light tobacco leaf. The palate shows caramel, dried cherry, honey and sweet malt, ending with cherry tobacco and light nutmeg and allspice.
