Redemption Barrel Proof 10 Year Old is a high-rye bourbon distilled at MGP in Indiana to Redemption's recipe of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley. It is the same mash bill as the brand's core High Rye Bourbon. The whiskey spent ten years in new American oak and was bottled at barrel proof, 56.7%, without chill filtration, in a 75cl bottle. The proof varies from batch to batch. The nose is rich vanilla oak with hints of aged balsamic and violets. On the palate toffee, honey and roasted nuts sit over a spicy rye backbone, and the finish is moderately drying with allspice and dill.
