Heaven's Door – Single Barrel SKG 4 Straight Bourbon 7 Year Old (70cl, 58.1%)

This is a single barrel, cask strength straight bourbon from Heaven's Door, bottled at 58.15% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in Indiana, is seven years old and comes from a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malt. The barrel had a number 3 char, and the outturn is 214 bottles. Heaven's Door is a range developed with Bob Dylan, and its bottles show his welded iron gate designs. The palate offers vanilla and caramel with subtle wood notes. It starts sweet, then turns increasingly peppery and creamy, and it finishes bittersweet.
