This is a single cask Hellyers Road whisky from the Original American Oak series, with a stated age of 14 years. The vintage is dated 17 September 2007, the whisky was matured in a bourbon barrel and it was bottled in 2022 at 58.5% ABV. The cask gave 167 bottles.
The nose offers grilled passion fruit, grapefruit and orange zest, alongside milky brioche, liquorice and a note of steel wool. On the palate, passion fruit and cooked peaches meet vanilla and plenty of cloves, spicy and warm. The finish opens with linseed oil, then black pepper, cardamom and star anise.
