A 17-year-old single cask single malt from Hellyers Road, the distillery at Burnie in the north of Tasmania. It was matured in American oak, is unpeated, and was bottled at a cask strength of 60.7% in a 70cl bottle. Only 130 bottles were produced.
The colour is deep copper. The nose is led by tropical and citrus fruit, with a gentle maltiness, fudge, vanilla and brown sugar. On the palate, toasted oak, vanilla and caramel come first, then lemon juice, pepper, coffee beans and pomelo. The finish is medium, with lingering wood and a touch of grapefruit juice.
