This is a single cask single malt from Hellyers Road Distillery in Tasmania, distilled from peated malt in 2004. It spent 18 years in an ex-bourbon barrel and was bottled by La Maison de Whisky in 2022 at cask strength, 58.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers green apple and peach with vanilla and subtle wood smoke. On the palate it is rich and creamy, with custard, baking spice and stone fruit, followed by lingering bonfire and medicinal notes. The finish is long, spicy and smoky.
