This is an 18-year-old peated single malt from Hellyers Road in Tasmania, distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2022 by La Maison de Whisky as a single cask, number 4022.03. It was made from peated malt and matured in an ex-bourbon barrel, then bottled at cask strength, 58.4% abv, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has green apple, peach and vanilla with subtle wood smoke. The palate is rich and creamy, with custard, baking spice and stone fruit, and lingering bonfire and medicinal notes. The finish is long, spicy and smoky.
