A Tasmanian single malt from Hellyers Road, matured for 18 years in a first-fill American oak cask, from 2002 to 2021. It belongs to the Original Single Cask Conquête series and was bottled at 61.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle for the French market, with an outturn of 176 bottles.
The nose brings coffee, resin, cut grass and minerals over vanilla and chocolate, with candied citrus, hay, pear, peach and nuts. The palate shows guava and persimmon, then coconut, yogurt and cocoa, with floral notes and wood. The finish is long, with zucchini, white mint, saffron, cardamom, barley sugar and vanilla.
