Hellyers Road Voyager is a 20 year old single malt from the distillery on Tasmania's northwest coast. It was distilled and filled into American oak ex-bourbon casks, where it matured for 16 years. It then spent four years in a single French oak ex-Pinot Noir cask. It is bottled at 54% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers creamy vanilla, toasted coconut, lemon oil and orange jubes, with a little aniseed and milk chocolate fudge. The palate begins with malt sticks and golden leatherwood honey, then peach iced tea, orange blossom and rose, with a build of chilli and ginger and a close of lemon oil and ripe tangerine. The finish carries lemon oil and mint.
