This is a 7 year old peated single malt from Hellyers Road in Australia, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks from Heaven Hill, and the malted barley was peated, sourced directly from Inverness.
The nose is sweet tea and brine, with sea salt, oyster shell, green leaf and fresh bark, and faint campfire embers and a hint of medicine behind. On the palate, fresh peat leads with herbal tones, smoked leaf and oyster, rounded by a touch of honey sweetness. The finish is of medium length.
