Hellyers Road Double Cask Small Batch (70cl, 46.2%)

Hellyers Road Double Cask is a small batch Tasmanian single malt from the distillery at Burnie, bottled at 46.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and non-coloured. The whisky matured in American oak, then had a second maturation in French oak casks that previously held Tasmanian Pinot Noir. Candied orange and raisins come first on the nose, with vanilla, caramel and a little clove. On the palate, cinnamon spice and hints of grain give depth, leading to a spicy finish.
