Hellyers Road Double Cask is a small-batch Tasmanian single malt, matured in two stages. It spends at least five years in 200-litre American oak ex-bourbon casks, then moves to French oak barriques that previously held Tasmanian Pinot Noir.
It is bottled at 46.2% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour.
The nose has candied orange and stewed sultanas. On the palate, cinnamon and clove meet fine cereal notes. The finish is restrained and soft.
