This is a Tasmanian single malt from the Hellyers Road distillery, bottled at 46.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is finished in French oak casks that previously held Pinot Noir wine.
The finish adds a subtle fruity sweetness, which sits alongside spicy malt and toasty oak.
The nose is buttery, biscuity and malty, with hints of pina colada, allspice, tropical fruit and berries, and a honeyed character. The palate is rich, sweet, oily and mouth-filling, with strawberry jam, black pepper, blackcurrant and a touch of nutmeg late on. The finish is short to medium, sweet and honeyed.
