Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No. 5 Cognac (75cl, 43%)

Master Blender's Selection No. 5 is a single-batch Hennessy cognac, part of a series of limited edition releases that are not repeated. Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde chose the eaux-de-vie by hand, drawing on 18 family-run distillers. It shows a deep amber colour with reflections of patinated gold. The nose is shaped by spice and candied orange. On the palate it opens with pastry notes of cocoa, sweet spices and a comforting creaminess, followed by tobacco and candied orange, and then a broader, sweet and strongly fruity character.
