Hennessy X.O is a cognac that Maurice Hennessy created in 1870 for his circle of friends, introducing a new style of cognac. This is a 40% bottling in a 37.5cl size.
The eaux-de-vie are aged in young barrels, which gives the blend its power and energy, and they are blended from cognacs aged up to 70 years.
The nose offers crystallised fruit, oak, spices and a touch of old leather. The palate runs from candied fruit to pepper and dark chocolate, with oak and vanilla. The finish is long, with cinnamon and vanilla.
