Herradura Silver Tequila (75cl)

Herradura Silver is a blanco tequila made from Blue Weber agave grown on the Herradura hacienda in Amatitán, Jalisco. The agave is roasted in clay ovens, fermented with wild ambient yeast and double-distilled in alembic stills. Unusually for a blanco, it rests for 45 days in American white oak barrels, which gives it a light straw colour with a faint green tint rather than perfect clarity. The barrel adds spice, but the character stays earthy, vegetal and peppery. On the nose there is green and cooked agave with herbal, slightly woody notes. Citrus brightens the palate alongside black pepper and coriander, and the finish is smooth, clean and warming.
