Hibiki 12 Year Old is a blended Japanese whisky from Suntory, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It includes malts from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries. The name Hibiki means 'resonance' in Japanese, and the brand was launched in 1989.
The nose offers juicy marmalade with chunks of orange, cooked apples dusted with cinnamon, thick honey and plum wine. On the palate there are crushed almonds, stewed fruit and clove-studded oranges, with sherried malt and a subtle core of oak. The finish is bright, with crisp apple and citrus.
