Hibiki Japanese Harmony (75cl, 43%)

Hibiki Japanese Harmony is Suntory's flagship blended whisky, bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It combines at least ten malt and grain whiskies from the Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. The blend is matured in five cask types, including American white oak, sherry casks, plum liqueur casks and Mizunara oak. Hibiki was created in 1989 to mark Suntory's 90th anniversary, and the name means "echo" or "resonance" in Japanese. The nose offers rose, lychee and rosemary with orange peel and a little sandalwood. The palate has candied orange peel, white chocolate and honey, with a warm thread of Mizunara spice. The finish is subtle and long, with gentle Mizunara incense.
