Hickory Hill Sour Mash Whiskey is made by Giant Texas Distillers in Houston, in a 750ml bottle at 40% ABV. It is a Texas whiskey, not a Tennessee whiskey.
The new spirit is filtered through sugar-maple charcoal using the Lincoln County Process before ageing for at least 16 months in American oak.
Vanilla and caramel run through the nose and palate, with rounded wood character and a balance that holds from entry to a rich, smooth close.
