A 17 year old Highland Park, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2025 by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice series, in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single first fill sherry butt, number 5358, which yielded 606 bottles.
The nose is fragrant, with raisin, peanuts and tangerine peel, then stewed red berries, ginger and clove. On the palate, pressed apple and raspberry lead to soft fudge, with plenty of chilli spice, a hint of coffee bean and toasted oak. The finish is medium in length, with lingering spice.
