Highland Park – 21 Year Old November 2019 Release (70cl, 46%)

This is a 21 year old Highland Park single malt from the November 2019 release, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was vatted from similar quantities of contrasting casks: nine first-fill European sherry-seasoned oak hogsheads, eight bourbon hogsheads and nine refill hogsheads. The European casks bring warm spice and rich dried fruit, the bourbon casks sweeter exotic fruit, and the refill casks a softer influence that rounds the whole. The result is fresh-cut pineapple, ripe mango, juicy pear, sun-dried raisins, dried exotic fruit, spice-market aromas and curls of aromatic peat smoke.
