Hinch 10 Years is an Irish whiskey from County Down, triple distilled and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It blends single grain and single malt whiskey, both at least ten years old, drawn from the Hinch Distillery's own stock.
The blend then spent a minimum of one year finishing in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose shows clear sherry influence, with red fruit, dried fruit, vanilla and caramel, plus hints of malt, bread and rubber. The palate follows with fruit and a spicy, slightly bitter touch of ginger, nutmeg, chocolate and nuts. The finish is medium in length, with pepper and oak.
