Hinch 12 Year Old is an Irish blended whisky finished in Amarone casks. It spent eleven years in ex-bourbon casks before moving into 500-litre Amarone casks, which bring in the aromas of the wine. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill-filtering.
The nose is floral and fruity, with elderberries and plums. On the palate dark fruit leads, with blackcurrants and juicy plums in front, and sour cherries, red apples and ripe pears alongside.
