Hinch 12 Year Old Amarone Finish is an Irish whiskey bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. Worldwide, 3,000 bottles were released.
The whiskey spent 11 years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, then 12 months in 500-litre Masi Amarone casks, which give it a golden-red colour.
The nose is spiced and floral, with violet fruits such as elderberry and plum. The palate is dense, rich and balanced, with dark fruits, sour cherry, red apple, ripe pear, cinnamon and a hint of dry red wine. The finish is very long, with dark fruit and malty sweetness.
