This Old Pulteney is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled independently by Malts of Scotland to mark the 20th anniversary of HNWS Taiwan. It was distilled in 2006, matured in a sherry hogshead and bottled in 2025 at 50.2% ABV. It comes from a single cask, with an outturn of 206 bottles.
The nose combines polished leather, walnut, dry sherry, cedarwood, a little tobacco and a hint of sea air. The palate is full-bodied and dry, with walnut skins, dark sherry, savoury spice and a salty, mineral note.
The finish is long and dry, with walnut, salty oak, pepper and savoury sherry.
