Holyrood Smoulder is a peated Lowland single malt from the Holyrood Distillery in Scotland. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 47.1% ABV.
The mash used 75 per cent heavily peated Highland malt together with brown malt, and five different yeast strains were used. Maturation took place mainly in first-fill bourbon barrels, with rum casks and small Oloroso sherry octaves added. It is bottled without colouring or chill-filtration.
