Horse Soldier Commander's Select VII is a 10-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, made by U.S. Army Green Beret veterans. It is a small batch release aged in new charred American oak and bottled at barrel proof, 60% ABV, without chill filtration, in a 75cl bottle.
The mash bill is corn, rye and malted barley.
The nose opens with toasted oak, dark caramel, vanilla bean and baking spice. The palate is full-bodied, with burnt sugar, cinnamon, dried fruit and oak, and the finish is long, with leather, tobacco and lingering spice.
