The brand was founded in 1879 by Isaac and Bernard Bernheim, and the 12 year old was first released in 1961. It has a following in Japan.
The nose offers toffee, butterscotch, orange zest, banana, vanilla, coconut, caramel and dark berries. On the palate there are spices, tobacco and chocolate. The finish is long, with a taste of young, fresh corn and a hint of nuttiness.
