Elijah Craig Small Batch (75cl, 47%)

Elijah Craig Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 47% in a 75cl bottle. It is made at the Heaven Hill Bernheim Distillery from 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley. Each batch is drawn from barrels aged between 8 and 12 years, all new American oak with a Level 3 char. The name honours Reverend Elijah Craig, a Baptist minister widely credited as the first to age whiskey in charred oak. The nose offers brown sugar, caramel, peanut and light vanilla. The palate begins with caramel and vanilla, then nuttiness, ripe apple, cinnamon, clove, cherry and licorice. The finish is medium-long, with honey, oak tannin, mint and dry oak.
