Ichiro's Chichibu Malts On The Way 2015 (70cl, 55.5%)

On The Way is a Japanese single malt from the Chichibu distillery, released in 2015 and bottled at 55.5% in a 70cl bottle. It has no age statement. It is made from three casks: two bourbon barrels and one Mizunara cask, which holds some of the oldest whisky made at the distillery. The release was 9900 bottles worldwide. The nose offers pear, malt and popcorn. Tropical notes come through on the palate, and the finish carries hints of pepper.
